Youth consultations and workshops

Sessions that bring young people’s priorities into a plan or a budget, early enough to change it.

Since 2023 I have sat on youth advisory bodies for international partners in Burundi, and chaired one of them for two years. The lesson: young people’s advice changes a plan only when it is asked for early, when someone reports back on what happened to it, and when it comes with a budget line.

I design and run sessions on those three rules, and write up what young people said in a form a planning team can use.
