Privacy
What this site collects, why, and what you can ask for. In short: only what you send through the contact form.
Who is responsible
Nella Ernica Mugisha, Bujumbura, Burundi. Write to [email protected] about anything on this page.
What the contact form collects
Your name, your email address, the topic you choose and your message, plus the language of the page and the time you sent it. Nothing else: the site does not record your IP address with your message.
To stop automated messages, the site counts messages per connection. It keeps only a one-way code made from your IP address, which cannot be turned back into the address and changes every day, and deletes it after a day.
It is used only to read and answer your message. It is sent by email to Nella’s mailbox and also kept in a message file on the site’s server, so that a message is not lost if email fails. Neither copy is shared with anyone, sold or used for marketing.
Messages are kept for as long as is needed to reply and follow up. You can ask at any time for your message to be deleted from both places.
If you write by email
You can also write straight to [email protected]. Your email, your address and anything you attach are kept in Nella’s mailbox, used only to answer you, and deleted when you ask, the same as a message sent through the form.
Please never send passwords, bank or card details, or identity documents, by email or through the form.
Cookies and storage
The contact form sets one cookie, nm_session, so it can tell a real visit from an automated one: on the contact page, or when you start filling in the invitation form. It holds a random token, no personal details, and ends when you close your browser.
If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your own browser under nm-theme. It never leaves your device; clearing your browser’s site data removes it.
In a picture gallery, the pictures you have already looked at are remembered in your own browser under nm-museum, so the gallery can show how many you have seen. That list never leaves your device either.
What the site does not do
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no social media plug-ins. Fonts and images come from this site itself, so visiting it sends nothing to another company.
If a page carries a video from YouTube or Vimeo, it shows a still from this site until you press play. Only then does the video load from that platform, which then sees your visit under its own privacy policy; YouTube videos use its privacy-enhanced mode.
Your choices
You can ask what the site holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to [email protected]. You’ll get an answer within 30 days.
Changes
If what the site collects ever changes, this page changes first. Last updated: 28 October 2026.
